Our busy New World Aokautere supermarket is looking for a Baker to join our Bakery team We are looking for someone that is positive, open minded and committed to taking the department to the next level
Baking experience is preferred but not essential.
The position is full-time and responsibilities will include; ensuring the bakery offer is always looking good for customers, shelves are always full, helping with customer enquiries, covering leave, managing wastage, baking, making cakes, icing, decorating and over time looking to learn the product scheduling, stock ordering, costing of recipes, price integrity, cleaning, product range development and compliance of legislative requirements.
**We are seeking an individual who has**:
- A passion for fresh food and enthusiasm to try new ideas
- An understanding of production requirements within a retail environment
- Strong communication (and proven leadership skills if interested in the Manager position)
- A high level of personal presentation
- The right to work in New Zealand as well as reliable transport - An awesome can-do attitude and a commitment to learning
We are a small store so there may be times when help is required in other areas of the store. SAP knowledge is preferred but not essential.
This role is Tuesday - Saturday and is good for someone that likes early starts, however exact hours will be discussed at interview stage.
