**About the Role**

You will be based in Auckland but may also be required to work nationwide in Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Wanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland. This may require the need to travel away from home or relocate.

**What you will do**

The role involves work on residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Tasks includes (but is not limited to):

- Loading and unloading materials, goods, tools and equipment and transporting them around sites
- Assist with the construction, demolition, fabrication, assembly or cleaning of any site foundation works
- Assist with installation of steel reinforcements
- Assist with any framing, foundations, drywall, tiling, welding, paving etc
- Assist with installations, inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, repair, manufacture and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Assist with the construction, installation or repair of supply pipes, drainage pipes, Sewerage/sanitary pipes, Gas pipes, taps showers etc and other general plumbing tasks
- Erecting and dismantling temporary structures such as barricades and scaffolding
- Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete, plaster, paint and mortar.
- Spreading and levelling soil, gravel and sand on roads and driveways, trench bottoms and similar locations
- Digging holes and removing excavated material
- General site organising, packing and tidying
- Any other tasks as reasonably required.

**About you**
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience
- Can work unsupervised or part of a team
- Willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening
- Able to complete basic paperwork when needed
- Understands and practices the principles of zero harm
- Calm, professional temperament and good communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well under pressure
- Able to problem solve and manage time well
- Must be legally entitled to work in NZ
