Handyperson

We are currently looking for a Handyperson to join our team working in Palmerston, North wide to undertake a wide range of tasks, while providing a quality service to the highest degree to achieve customer satisfaction. Hours of work will be 30 to 45 hours per week.

Available to work as per rostered shifts from 7am to 7pm. However, we may need to work sometime include weekdays, weekends and may include public holidays.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs, and other parts of the building.
- Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)
- Perform basic repairs (e.g., wall damage, broken windows)
- Complete general maintenance work
- Ability to provide consistent customer service and quality.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to use basic tools, measurements, and calculations.
- Undertake light installation or carpeting (e.g. build cabinets)
- Maintain trash and recycling receptacles around the facility.
- Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems as required.
- Repair equipment or appliances.
- Install and replace floors, stairs and piping as needed.

**Requirements and skills**:

- Working knowledge of hardware tools and electrical equipment is preferable.
- Basic math and good communication skills
- Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
- Attention to detail.
- You must be reliable, physically fit with positive attitude.
- Must have relevant qualification or have at least 3 yrs of work experience in relevant industry.
