**Kaihoahoa Whenua / Landscape Architect (Tauranga or Auckland)**

Join our collaborative **Design Practice** in Tauranga or Auckland as a Kaihoahoa Whenua / Landscape Architect where you will be part of an established and growing, nationwide landscape architecture team based throughout New Zealand. You will contribute to and support the design and delivery of projects that provide a social and environmental difference, working on meaningful and challenging projects across Aotearoa, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. You will also have broad scope to kick start, shape and develop your design, consulting, and delivery abilities learning from Beca’s design experts in a collative and team-based studio.

You will be working within a studio and team that are passionate about creating a culture of design, and enabling you to bring your design voice and abilities to projects. While being based in Beca’s Tauranga or Auckland Design Studio, you will be part of a nation-wide Design Practice, with studios in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, and Christchurch. With **70+** Architects, Landscape Architects and Urban Designers, you will join our award winning and growing team that have gained recognition through our design approach and our commitment to transforming places and spaces that people live, work, and play in.

You will be working in a team that has developed a leading design reputation, with a focus on projects that cover masterplanning, coastal and climate resilience, transformation of cities, transport and infrastructure, active modal-shift and public realm improvements - each with strong place-making and cultural drivers. Project examples that showcase both our current experience, and provides insight into the type of project you can contribute to in the future, include Iwi and Marae Masterplans, The 36th America’s Cup Public Realm, Parihaka Spatial Plan and Vanuatu Waterfront (recent NZILA award recipients), Te Tupu Ngātahi - Supporting Growth (Planning for 30 years of future growth of Auckland) and Kā Huanui a Tāhuna (Queenstown capital works programme).
- Honing your technical skills on a variety of projects from masterplanning to construction
- Visual communication and documentation utilising AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite, with confidence in 3D modelling an advantage
- Working collaboratively with other creative disciplines including architects, artists, engineers, project managers and planners
- Contributing to the team social culture; we believe in work life balance and having fun
- A Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture

To be successful in this role, you will need experience and an understanding of the landscape design, or consulting sectors. This role will not suit graduates looking for their first professional consulting role.
