**About the role**

We have a part-time, fixed term contract available to join the Food for Thought team of Nutritionists, reporting into the Community Nutrition and Food for Thought Manager. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering the Food for Thought nutrition education programme, inspiring primary school students to make healthy food choices. As part of a team of Nutritionists across the country, you’ll work autonomously to plan and deliver the programme in your region - regular domestic travel will be required, mostly within the South Island. You’ll build great relationships with schools and supermarkets, and share your ideas and inspiration with the team, to promote and grow the Food for Thought programme.

**About you**

You’ll be a natural ‘people person’ with excellent communication skills. You’ll enjoy the responsibility of managing your own workload to meet agreed performance standards, as well as fostering relationships with others and contributing to effective teamwork. You’ll be knowledgeable about nutrition - particularly the nutrition needs of tamariki - and passionate about making a difference to the lives of New Zealanders. As this is a part-time, fixed term contract, you’ll be eager and able to learn quickly and ‘hit the ground running’, with the support of your manager and teammates.

Food for Thought is a free school-based nutrition programme, governed by the Food for Thought Educational Trust, a NZ-registered charity. Our qualified Nutritionists have been spreading knowledge across Aotearoa New Zealand since 2007, making a difference in the lives of more than 200,000 tamariki since the programme’s inception. Foodstuffs is proud to be the primary sponsor of Food for Thought, delivering the programme nationally in partnership with the Heart Foundation.
