The Opportunity

MidCentral are looking for an experienced Clinical Sleep Physiologist to join the Respiratory team at Palmerston North Hospital.The Respiratory service is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team providing respiratory and sleep services for the population within the MidCentral district.The Sleep Clinical Physiologist works closely with the Respiratory Physicians and Clinical Nurse Specialist to ensure the provision of high-quality sleep services, to users who are referred by MidCentral inpatient, outpatient, and community services. As a Clinical Physiologist you will be providing diagnostic sleep testing, ongoing patient advice for NIPPV (Non-Invasive Positive pressure Ventilation) and assessment and management of patients on CPAP and Bilevel ventilation, following CPAP titration studies including home trial and follow-up equipment requirements.

**The applicant must have**:

- Bachelor of Science of Medical Technology or equivalent.
- Post graduate certificate in medical science or equivalent.
- Registered Polysomonographic Technologist (RPSGT).
- ANZSS membership (Australian and New Zealand Sleep Scientist Association).
- AAST membership (American Association of Sleep Technologist).

It would be an advantage to have experience in analysing and scoring sleep studies.
