We are excited to be able to offer a senior Nurse position, as Clinical Nurse Specialist Paediatric Oncology.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist oncology, works in partnership with Starship Hospital and is responsible for the clinical leadership and management of children undergoing treatments for cancers. There is an expectation that CNS will be a role model with expert clinical skills, promote best practice and facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration within a family centred framework.

It is also expected that the nurse specialist will provide formal and informal education to nurses on the ward to improve their skills and knowledge in oncology

If you have significant paediatric nursing experience, an interest in oncology and ready to progress and develop your clinical and leadership abilities this could be the role for you.
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
- 5+ years of clinical experience in paediatric care
- Is an excellent problem solver and can remain calm under pressure?
- Masters’ degree or actively working toward this
- Have a family centred approach focused and have a genuine interest and commitment to quality and service
- Have the ability to promote effective teamwork and collaborative relationships within the team and across health services
