We’re looking for a **Checkout Operator **to join our **Countdown **Mangere Mall **team.

We’re proud of the diversity of our team and the roles they play in running our store - this role is great for anyone who enjoys a hands-on job with plenty of variety each day.

**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
- Face to face customer service at checkouts
- Manage cash and EFTPOS payments
- Help our customers by being knowledgeable about our products and services in our store
- Help us stick to the rules around the sale of age restricted goods, such as tobacco and alcohol
- Assist customers through our self-service checkouts

**In this customer-focused role we are looking for our new team member that
- Understands good customer service.
- Help us make customer first decisions aligned to our processes and systems
- Work well within our team and communicate effectively
- A willingness to work on your feet for the duration of your shift
- A friendly smile and welcoming attitude

The shifts times and days for this opportunity are **Saturday 1600-2000 and Sunday 1500-1900
**This shift would suit ideally a student looking to earn over the summer/seasonal period.
