We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader/Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Christchurch. We are looking for a talented Team Lead to help support and mentor our team of Residential Engineers working within the South Island but also nationally through our online engineering service SpecifiTM.

**About the role**

As a Team Leader for our SpecifiTM service and our residential clients across the South Island you will lead, allocate and review the projects within the team. Working with your team of engineers to maintain client relationships, preparing proposals and preliminary designs, supervising detailed designs, on-site investigations, monitoring, and reporting on the progress of project delivery.

You will work on a wide range of residential projects from architecturally designed bespoke homes to structural alterations across New Zealand.

Alongside our Structural Manager you will actively contribute to the development and implementation of overall company strategies and develop the capabilities of our SpecifiTM software to expand our offering and broaden our service to our clients.

**About you**
- Qualified with a BEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
- CPEng is an advantage or working towards chartership.
- Professional engineering experience in NZ, with good residential design, and proven seismic experience to NZ Codes and strong technical knowledge.
- Understand risk, be commercially astute and place a high regard on client satisfaction.
- Experience in leading and managing the delivery of structural engineering projects.
- Strong leadership skills, mentoring team members, being a role model for promoting high work standards to deliver client projects on time and at high quality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive drive and resilience.
- Solution focused, a good problem solver.
- Enjoy working in a team environment and communicating with a wide range of people.
