**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

The Principal, Systems and Processes is responsible for the end-to-end support of business systems and processes from Business Case Development through to Business-as-Usual documentation. The Principal contributes to the prevention of reoffending by overseeing a programme of continuous improvement within the Registry, as well as across Police districts and with other stakeholders.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Have overall responsibility for ensuring the Register systems, including dedicated IT systems, and business process are defined and monitored, and opportunities to improve delivery are identified
- Routinely evaluate systems, processes, and tools to confirm that they are meeting the needs of the team and the purpose of the Act
- Prepare professional business proposals, options papers, analysis, and evaluations to understand performance and inform the strategic direction and funding requirements for the register
- Document and resolve problems with systems and tools
- Maintain key business documentation, and support the preparation of responses to official information requests
- Support the Register leadership team and district supervisors to deliver professional meetings, workshops, training, and communications
- Manage procurement, resourcing and delivery of contractors and external resources engaged to resolve problems or deliver improvements
- Manage direct reports and support the work of other team members.

- Experience in the end-to-end delivery and support of business systems and processes from business case development through to business-as-usual support
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive level papers
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability facilitate workshops for stakeholders at all levels
- A customer-centric focus
- Experience in vendor management and understanding government procurement processes
- Be able to work collaboratively including mentoring and developing less experienced team members
