**About you**:
We are looking for a social scientist who has a passion for community engagement and can demonstrate previous experience based on IAP2. You will be working in a great team supporting the Resource Management Policy team to achieve some pretty ambitious goals. In order to achieve these goals we need to engage with our communities through community events and our online engagement tool Engagement HQ.
**The ideal applicant will have**:
- Proven experience in community engagement
- High level of skills in research and data analysis
- Technical experience with managing online content
- Cool head under pressure
- Confident team member working in a political environment
- Strong community and customer focus
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Expertise in reporting with attention to detail
**Qualifications**:
Degree level tertiary qualifications in a social science discipline
Certificate in IAP2 Foundations in Public Participation preferred or willingness to train
**Experience**:
Demonstrated experience in facilitation and community engagement, including iwi engagement.
Experienced in Granicus Engagement HQ, or similar online engagement software
**About the role**:
You will be responsible for:
- Working closely with Engagement Leads and internal teams to support analysis and reporting of community, stakeholder, and iwi engagement for the Resource Management Policy section
- Participating in engagement planning meetings and advising on the use of Engagement HQ to support engagement requirements, including events, surveys, reference groups and spatial mapping.
- Managing all aspects of the online engagement software - Engagement HQ and assisting with Community, iwi and stakeholder engagement for the freshwater and coastal policy reviews
- Providing research support to the social science team undertaking evaluation research, survey design, data collection, analysis and reporting
- Recording, storage and reporting processes for information received from community engagement events, online forums and surveys is in accordance with organisational and legislative requirements
