**The Role**

This is a physically demanding role and would require the incumbent to undertake strenuous physical tasks in an outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain the aggregate wash plant equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Monitor the production process, including the feeding, washing, screening, and stacking of materials, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Adjust equipment settings as necessary to optimize performance and product quality. Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or concerns to the plant supervisor.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Assist with other tasks as needed, including general labor and equipment maintenance projects.

The technical stuff you'll need includes
- Previous experience operating and maintaining aggregate wash plant equipment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of basic welding, electrical, and hydraulic systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
