Te Pare ō Toi Service is transforming into a ‘Change engine' for Toi Ora as we progress our new strategy, Te Toi Ahorangi Rautaki 2030.

We have an opportunity available to provide Tauwhiro service specifically for Renal Services for whānau Māori.

This is a permanent part time role with 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) based in Whakatāne.

**He Korero mōu - About You**

We are looking for:

- Tauwhiro Kaupapa Māori with a wealth of knowledge and skills, to provide clinical and Professional Social Work practice for Renal Services, Hauora a Toi.
- Are you ready to contribute a positive difference for whānau, hāpu and iwi
- A variety of experience and knowledge, a particular advantage to have health sector experience plus, Care and Protection, Family Harm and/or Youth Justice, Elder care
- Experience of Community based an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to te reo me ona tikanga.
- Flexibility to work evening and/or weekend work as required

**What you can expect day-to-day**:

- The position/s is permanent part-time.
- Working as Tauwhiro, Kaupapa Māori Registered Social worker, to provide service for whānau using Hauora a Toi Renal Services.
- Working with a variety of professional roles of Te Pare ō Toi team.
- Working to supporting whanau to achieving Toi Ora.
- Working in with the Renal Service Team to support whanau Māori as a representative of Te Pare ō Toi.
- Partnering with other member of the healthcare team, in particular Renal Services.
- We work hard to be a Te Reo speaking Team and support to achieve this.

Championing and supporting Toi Ora knowledge and competence within the workforce.
