**About Us**:

We are currently seeking a skilled hands-on Shipwright Manager to join our team.

**Role overview**:

- Build strong customer relationships with our key clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs and provide advice and recommendations, including updates throughout each project.
- Prepare quotes as required, ensuring any changes are managed to expectations.
- Ensure all customer interactions and decisions are communicated throughout the organisation.
- Communicate project plans ahead of time, to align to vessel schedules.
- Organise work schedule for team, including subcontractors, ensuring the achievement of vessel timelines, targets, and budgets.
- Foster a supportive and safety-conscious work environment for the team.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and standards.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety protocols and obligations in the workplace.
- Document all activities accurately and manage paperwork processing.
- Proven experience across a range of shipwright tasks and methods, with a good understanding of ship’s interiors and good knowledge of timber and plywood species
- Experience with fibreglass would be beneficial.
- Have strong team leader qualities and be able to effectively lead team members, varying from experienced workers through to boat building apprentices.
- Be self-motivated and have a high standard of workmanship.
- Be highly competent in reading plans and specifications and executing tasks accordingly.
- Strong fit-out problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Physical stamina and agility to work in a marine environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel away for work during completion of projects.
