Wanted One Automotive Refinisher for Bay of Plenty
Collision Repairs in Tauranga.
We are looking for one Automotive Refinisher with at least five years of relevant experience.

**Responsibilities**
- **Surface Preparation**:
- Repair minor dents, scratches, and imperfections on vehicle
surfaces.
- **Painting and Finishing**:
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
- Use techniques such as blending, clear coating, and polishing to ensure a smooth and uniform finish.
- **Quality Control**:
- Inspect completed work for defects and ensure that the finish
meets company and industry standards.
- Perform touch-ups and corrections as necessary.
- ** Equipment Maintenance**:
- Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools.
o Ensure the proper use and storage of paints, solvents, and other materials.
- **Safety and Compliance**:
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow environmental regulations related to the disposal of
hazardous materials and emissions.
- **Customer Interaction**:
- Communicate with customers regarding their vehicle’s refinishing needs and provide updates on the progress of their repairs or customization.
- **Record Keeping**:
- Document work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.
**Requirements and Skills**
- NZQCF Level 4 qualification or higher, or at least five years of relevant experience.
- Formal training or certification in automotive refinishing is a plus.
- Must be fluent in waterborne technology.
- Must be able to job estimate and manage workflows.
- Must have own spray guns and respiratory gear (air-fed masks).
- Can do minor repair work and disassemble and refit parts, an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for color and finish quality.
- Ability to operate and maintain various refinishing tools and equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry materials, and work invarious conditions.
- Be willing to undergo random drug tests while employed.
- Must have a current driver's licence.
This is a full-time permanent role, and the hourly pay rate is between $29.66 and $42, based on experience. The work hours are from 40 hours minimum to 60 hours maximum per week to be worked between Monday to Friday between 7am to 5 pm and may be required to work on weekends.
