**Job Description**:
Working within a team of other Laboratory Technicians, you will take samples delivered by Preparation assistants and;
- Prepare & analyse in accordance with the standard operating procedures in the lab to ensure a high service level is maintained. This involves weighing samples, digesting with various acids and making up volumetric solutions.
- Calibrate and use instruments such as Atomic absorbance spectrophotometer, Microwave plasma atomic emmission spectrophotometer, uv/vis spectrophotometer and carbon sulphur analyser to generate sample assay results.

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent timekeeping and good organisational skills
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Good computer skills, verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
- Previous experience in a laboratory environment beneficial.

Additional Information
- $29.94 to $30.64 per hour
- Free bus to site, paid breaks, extra shifts at overtime rates
- Work four-days on, four-days off on a 12-hour shift basis (rotating days/nights).
