We work within the public utilities and services space with a particular focus on waters infrastructure, open spaces, city cleaning, general civil works and nursery services. We deliver a range of operations and maintenance services under long term contracts, as well as taking on specific project works.
InfraCore takes pride in maintaining and caring for parks and reserves providing active and passive facilities for the enjoyment of the communities we serve.
Our work includes everything from annual bedding displays, perennial gardens, mowing, weed control, arboricultural services, revegetation programs, sports field renovations and the delivery of landscape projects to enhance the local environment.
InfraCore employs its own arboriculture professionally to ensure we can keep the reserve and street trees we care for in optimal health. Our work includes;
Tree Planting, Formative Pruning, Powerline Clearance Work, Tree Removal, Deadwood Removal, Stump Grinding and Reinstatements, Crown Lifting, Thinning, & Height Reduction.
**About the role**
A very rare opportunity to join the InfraCore Arborist team undertaking a variety of work.
- Work across the Rotorua rohē - lake sides, Redwood forest, parks, urban streets and premier sites such as the Government Gardens and Lakefront
- Guaranteed 40 hours a week rain or shine
- Small but dedicated team
The role of Arborist will include all aspects of Arboriculture, climbing, tree pruning, crown reductions, tree felling and removal. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the street and park tree assets for the Rotorua Lakes Council and undertaking other private works.
**About you**
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a current clean Class 1 and 2 NZ drivers licence (manual)
- Has a formal qualification in arboriculture
- Has First Aid Trainign
- Is highly detail focused.
- Can work in a methodical manner.
- Can use online app-based programme to record inspections.
- has strong communication skills.
- Can be adaptable.
- Has proven capability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
- Has an understanding and commitment to hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Is physically fit,
- Is positive, punctual and reliable.
