Our client has multiple opportunities for talented and experienced **Linux System Administrators **to join their existing team based in New Zealand.

Some Database work, MySQL, networking, building servers, datacenter work, run webservers (apache) as well as BAU and project work. This is a super exciting opportunity to be part of a global team of System Administrators.

You will demonstrate:

- 5 - 10 years of experience managing Debian/Ubuntu Linux based infrastructure
- Understanding of security best practice, disaster recovery procedures, problem resolution and performance analysis
- Server hardware knowledge and the ability to diagnose server related faults
- Firewall/VPN management experience
- Experience managing 1000’s of servers
- Internet-related experience (Server DNS / route reg/networking)
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

Good to haves:

- Shell scripting experience (perl).
- PHP knowledge is highly regarded
- Experience with DevOps tools including Github, GitLab, Jenkins
- Experience with configuration management (Ansible), Containerisation (Docker) and Virtualisation (KVM) would be a bonus
- A tertiary qualification in computer science
- Networking and network-related fault finding experience
