Senior Barista

Looking for a job working with good people, good coffee, serving great customers?
You'll need to be able to hit the ground running on the coffee machine, and be passionate and willing to deliver excellent customer service when not making coffee.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Make high-quality coffee drinks as required for our busy cafe
- Assist in training new baristas and ensure all team members maintain high standards of coffee making.
- Train external wholesale coffee customers
- Work alongside our in-house coffee roastery to ensure coffee quality is maintained.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- A very high standard of latte art abilty
- A detailed understanding of and ability to utilise espresso brewing techniques and methodology.
- An ability to run a quick and efficient espresso coffee production line. Maintaining quality while producing coffee quickly is essential.

**THE DETAILS**
- Full time - 37.5+ hours / week - preferably Sun-Thu
- Start Jan 2024 - negotiable by mutual agreement.
- Permanent or fixed term contract.
- We close Public Holidays - you'll get those off too.
- We also shut for 10 days over Christmas, so you get to enjoy a Summer break.

**Salary**: $25.00 - $28.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Christchurch, Canterbury: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- barista: 1 year (preferred)
