**About the role**:
As Trades Assistant, you will be working with a team of skilled Lift Engineers and Installers who take pride in delivering excellent preventive maintenance service to our customers. Our installation and modernisation team covers everything from private home lifts, airports, and hospitals, to high rise commercial buildings and their associated access control and monitoring services. You will gain valuable hands-on experience and learning the ropes of the trade. This role presents an excellent opportunity for growth, skill development, and career advancement within the lift industry. Your role will involve:

- Provide practical support to the team in carrying out maintenance, repairs, and project work.
- Handle, maintain, organize and deliver materials, tools, and equipment
- Perform Mechanical maintenance and repairs of lift equipment as required and operate machinery and power tools
- Work out of town

**What we are looking for**:

- 1+ year experience in the building or electrical industry
- Mechanically and technically minded
- Physically fit and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
- Positive attitude and the excellent approach to all things health and safety
- Well organised with the ability to meet deadlines, plan, and prioritise
- Hold a clean NZ driver’s license
- Be a NZ citizen or permanent resident
