Fibrous Plasterers Hawkes Bay

We require several experienced Fibrous Plasterers Based in Hawkes Bay, with project work or assignments in Wellington, Wairarapa, Manawatu, Gisborne and Waikato and Auckland

Long term contract
Minimum of 30 hours per week
$28 -$32 per hour depending on experience
- At least three years of experience or equivalent trade qualification
- A solid work record.
- Be mature, reliable and responsible person.
- Be able to work quickly and efficiently, paying particular attention to the quality.
- Must have good working attitude.
- Must be willing and able to pass drug and alcohol testing on client sites.
- Must be sufficiently fit to be able to undertake the work involved

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

- determining plasterboard layout, and installing insulation and vapour barriers
- measuring, marking and cutting plasterboard, lifting and positioning panels, and securing them to walls, ceilings and battens
- preparing corner beads and securing them in position
- fixing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings
- covering joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, and smoothing them using wet brushes and sand paper
- plumbing and straightening corners, angles and wall and ceiling surfaces
- creating decorative textures in finishing coats
