**Integrated Stroke Unit / Assessment Treatment and Rehabilitation**

**North Shore Hospital**

We are looking for a skilled Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working in neurological assessment and rehabilitation with adults, providing patient centred and goal focused rehabilitation. This is a part time role working on the Integrated Stroke Unit providing best practice intervention and rehabilitation to patients with neurological conditions.

We are looking for someone who has a broad range of experience working in the inpatient setting and you will have experience in assessing how neurological impairments impact occupational performance. It is preferable that you have experience assessing and providing wheelchair and seating solutions but not essential. As an OT working in the Stroke and Rehab allied health team at North Shore Hospital you will have the opportunity to link closely with and potentially cross cover into the Older Adult Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation (AT&R) Ward as well as into our community based early discharge and rehabilitation service (EDARS).

You must be a New Zealand registered Occupational Therapist and possess at least 2 years post graduate experience, including experience working in the hospital setting. This position is not suitable for a new graduate. You must be able to demonstrate strong clinical skills, strength in organisation and communication, and ideally have some experience in and be motivated and passionate about quality improvement. You will have experience in supporting students. Demonstrating commitment to working as part of a cohesive Occupational Therapy and interdisciplinary team is essential.

0.8FTE can be worked across 4 full days per week (RDO to be negotiated) or 5 shorter days, however a start time of 7.30am or 8am is preferred.
