The International and Product Strategy Team (Te Pae Tawhiti) in Te Pou Manawa is responsible for strategic planning, projects and relationships required to develop and maintain our world-leading identity and life event products and services. We are looking for Senior Analyst - Technical and Regulatory Standards who is future focused, passionate and knowledgeable about a breadth of identity technologies, and able to negotiate the complex international regulatory and technical environment in which we operate.
As part of Te Pae Tawhiti, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for developing relationships and knowledge that positively impact the quality and integrity of New Zealand's identity products and services. You will be capable of interpreting technical standards and translating them into our operational environment, have the ability to represent New Zealand's technical and strategic position in the international context, and influence key stakeholders in the domestic and international environment.
As Senior Analyst - Technical and Regulatory Standards, you will:
support the Te Pou Manawa (Partners and Products) unit and the wider branch by providing advice in respect to identity, biometrics, civil registration, and public key infrastructure, and any emerging risks or opportunities
maintain an understanding of the identity ecosystem, customer needs, partner needs and current and emerging technologies in order to identify both product enhancements and iterations, and new product development opportunities
support the development of a strategic approach to investment, planning and delivery across SDO products and services, including the development of strategic product intent and roadmaps
support New Zealand's specialist technical and policy contribution to the international regulatory system governing traveller identification, and influence effectively in relevant standards working groups to ensure New Zealand's strategic outcomes are met
monitor and understand our regulatory environment and ensure our products and services comply with standards, and meet external audit requirements, to ensure New Zealanders can travel and access services freely
Technical understanding of identity and life events products and services is essential; particularly those related to traveller identification, biometrics and public key infrastructure.
