What will your day look like

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring Senior Integration Engineer to join our Engineering team as a Senior Engineer, you will be empowered to help define and build a banking experience that delivers value to our Customers.

What you'll be doing

proactively providing technical leadership as well as being hands-on and willing to get stuck into the team with any tasks, including development, testing, business analysis;
working with product owners and business analysts and translating business requirements into elegant solution design;
helping the team make technical decisions;
Contributing to the evolution of Architecture, design, development and best practice based on our technology stack;
contributing to the ongoing improvement of development processes, tools, strategy, and methodology;
providing guidance to other team members, mentoring and coaching of less experienced team members;
working with Lead Engineers and other Senior Integration Developers to uplift our overall engineering capabilities, as well as align with our future architecture direction;
Cultivating a culture of growth and continuous improvement of your craft, as well as sharing your knowledge with the team.

What will you bring?

A Senior Integration Engineer will be responsible for providing sound design, process, technical input and are comfortable leading others. You are a communicator, solution designer, hands-on developer, and spending your day working alongside team members. You need to be able to communicate complex technical issues and be good at asking hard questions. You’re keen to get involved, embrace diversity of thought, and naturally challenge the status quo.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Great communicator. You are happy to work alongside a team where you talk openly and constructively about technical issues.
Enjoy working with a team, are a passionate about solving complex problems, you will be comfortable with the unknowns and strive to understand them, are adaptable to change and provide hands-on guidance to support others success.
You have worked with and implemented, lead key discussions and have a good understanding of microservice architecture, design patterns and what good looks like for best practice.
Collaboration. working in small teams where relationship building is key and foster a culture of continuous improvements in our processes, practices and product.
Provide hands-on guidance on leading practice & principles such as Agile, automated testing, Continuous and DevOps. Adoption of modern technical practices such as TDD/BDD.
You will have experience working with Rest APIs, development and integration using REST/JSON, Kafka, message queues.
Understand DevOps as a Culture and practice and have had experience with DevOps tools for CI/CD, container based development and observability.
A pragmatic approach with a focus on quality outcomes.
