We are needing a **Compliance Tester **to join our team in **Lower Hutt ** Your main objective is to carry out testing and surveying of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and Building Warrant of Fitness Inspection to the current New Zealand Standard requirements and maintain and develop existing customer relationships.

**What we offer**:

- $30 - $40 hours depending on experience

**What you will do**:

- Effectively undertake work and to fully utilise the Company’s resources and exceed customer expectations
- Communication and liaise with the supervisor to ensure efficient undertaking of all work
- Maintain a high level of service
- Ensure company property in their charge such as materials, plant, tools and equipment are maintained in a safe and efficient working condition
- Maintain a tidy area in the vicinity of the alarm panel and the alarm panel itself
- Ensure timekeeping and timesheets are as required and accurate

**How you will do it**:

- Maintain safe practices including tools as required by the EH&S regulations
- Notify the supervisor or manager of any safety hazards in the working environment
- Liaise with customers on site as required
- Continually upgrade your education and skills with respect to the position and company
- Keep abreast of all company products and services so as to be able to relay them to the client when the opportunity arises
- Ensure all customer inquiries and orders are dealt with and completed in a timely manner
- Ensure all work is authorised by the client
- Maintain accurate documentation for both management and clients
- To attend meetings as required by our Supervisor and Testing and Compliance Manager

**What we look for?**
- Qualifications must be met in line with New Zealand Standard requirements
- Experience in the Fire Protection Industry essential
- High degree of customer service skills and experience
- Proficient computer skills
- Full NZ drivers licence
- Excellent communication skills with a can do attitude
