Traffic Controller

With plenty of Civil works still taking place in and around Southland and the greater region our client is after individuals who are keen to assist with Traffic Control duties. This work will involve working as part of a team undertaking a variety of traffic control work amongst other duties as below.

**The duties for this role will involve;**
- Being responsible for ensuring safe workplaces
- Keeping traffic flowing safely by watching, setting up barriers, signs, and cones
- Navigating the traffic and pedestrians around the site
- Handle a stop / go / slow sign, or other traffic control signs and devices to direct traffic
- Take instructions from STMS or site supervisors
- Communicating via 2 way radios

**About you;**
- You will ideally have experience in Traffic Control or be willing to learn.
- Have the ability to work in a team environment
- Have a great attitude to work
- Have the ability to work long days in all weather conditions
- Be able to concentrate for long periods of time
- Have strong communication skills
- Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test
- Must be able to problem solve and use initiative
