**The role**:
We are looking for a Manufacturing Production Team Leader to join their well established and successful team in Rangiora. Reporting to the Production Manager you will be actively working on the floor responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of 12, helping to coordinate the flow of materials and keeping the team on target in the final processes before dispatch, ensuring you meet the expected deadline for the client.

This is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday starting at 6am. The role may require some work flexibility outside normal business hours to meet deadlines or urgent requirements.

**Day to day responsibilities**:

- Planning and stock control
- Identifying process improvement opportunities
- Quality control
- Health and safety
- Day to day leadership
- Coordinating the flow of materials and continuously checking the production is going to plan
- Prepare for the following days production
- Ensuring you and your team are keeping to targets and deadlines

**About You**:

- This position would suit someone with established and proven leadership skills that wants to progress their career into higher levels of production management in years to come
- You are always looking for ways to make incremental changes in efficiency to get the best out of your team and the manufacturing process
- You are a people person who is happy being on the floor leading the team from the front (this is not an office-based position)
- A great coordinator and problem solver, making sure things run smoothly, on time and are set up well for the following day

**Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience across the manufacturing industry
- Experience with the execution of Lean Manufacturing principles is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal skills: able to work as part of a team and manage with a humble yet confident attitude
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy to produce quality products
