Our customer is an ambitious organization focused on improving productivity in food and fiber value chains. The business is growing rapidly in the development of smart robotics, automation, mechanization, and sensor technology that maximize productivity in food and fiber industries around the world.

My customer's engineering team contributes collaboratively to deliver projects including research and development, and different team members have the opportunity to work on multiple projects at a time, but equally may be focused on only one project for a period of time before being able to move to something different.

Key Responsibilities for the role:

- Producing innovative, cost-effective, reliable, and fit for purpose electronic designs from concept through to production.
- Produce PCB designs that achieve commercial system integration.
- Producing high-quality documentation to support the manufacture and maintenance of PCB and electronic designs.
- Design electrical/electronic system architecture (including power and communications) and optimize the commercial deployment and integration of multiple sub-systems.
- Work with product owners and the wider team to add value to the overall system architecture and ensure it works with electronics subsystems.
- Assist in firmware development under the guidance of senior software engineers.
- Developing production test plans, including test jig design.
- Conducting test work both in-house and ax external EMC test houses when required.
- 5+ years of experience in electronics design and being part of R&D team.
- Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics qualification.
- Design for manufacturing experience.
- Design for testing experience.
- Familiarity with C/C++ for firmware design. Python is an advantage too.
- Experience using SPICE or related software.
- Experience with Git, confluence other collaboration tools.
- Competence in Altium designer.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Test Fixture design experience.
