Join our team as a Sawmill Operator today

This is an entry level position operating from our Kennington Sawmill, only 10 minutes drive from Invercargill.

As a Sawmill Operator with Niagara you will work within a small team to convert raw logs into a range of rough sawn timber profiles for further processing.
You will be trained to monitor equipment performance, and to operate and maintain sawmill equipment. This role includes some heavy lifting and elements of repetition.
- Hours of work are Monday-Thursday 6pm - 4:30am, with overtime as required (remunerated at an overtime rate)._

- Have proof of being a reliable employee for past employer
- Have a strong sense of mechanical aptitude, and be a proactive problem solver.
- Be confident to work independently and within a team.
- Have great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be physical able to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects.
