**THE ROLE**
We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Cadet to be based in our Transport team in Whangarei. This role will work across our Construction, Asset Management, and Professional Services teams, giving you a broad range of skills and experience while completing your Diploma in Engineering.

Successful applicants will commence a bonded cadetship within Ventia as an Engineering Cadet and be required to complete a Diploma in Engineering (Civil).

You will be expected to work 80% out on the field and 20% in the office, learning from a well-established, experienced, and dedicated team of Transport, Construction, and Roading professionals.

**THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL**:

- Be at least 16 years old when you start this program.
- A total of NCEA level 2 including a minimum of:

- Valid Class 1 driver’s license (restricted or full but must be able to drive manual vehicles).
- Competent in the use of MS Excel and Word.
- Have rights to work in New Zealand (only NZ residents and citizens will be processed for the role).
