**The Company**

Our client is a large NZ retail business with well over 100 sites across the country. The NZ business is now owned by a PE entity offshore and continues to be a market leader keeping its offshore giants honest. This brands has a strong presence in the NZ market and continues to disrupt. This Pricing Manager role is a new role reporting directly to the CFO based offshore but there is a great mid-sized finance team based here in NZ that you can embed yourself in who have a great culture.

**The Role**

The role of Pricing Manager will have the following responsibilities:

- Manage the pricing process from design through to implementation and review/improvements. This includes responsibility for price data sources, pricing tools and interfaces with other technology.
- Performance measurement and reporting, including regular inputs to the Board, CEO and the retail operations team as well as ad hoc reporting around any pricing issues, opportunities & initiatives.
- Manager external contractor relationships with price data suppliers as well as the developer of tools used by the Pricing team, ensuring expectations are met and agreed delivery of costs and timeframes
- Analyse retail site performance & prices versus competitors as needed
- Team leadership - management and development of the team
- Other ad hoc duties as required

**Skills & Experience**

To be considered for this role, we are looking for the following:

- An ability to be hands on and be involved in day to day processes with the team
- Strong data analytics capability and an ability to work with imperfect data
- An analytical thinker
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to write Board reports
- Staff management experience
- An ability to make judgement calls, with an ability to focus on patterns & anomalies
- Proactive
