Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with a sound knowledge of best-practice psychological theories and treatment approaches to work with adults experiencing moderate to severe mental health and addiction difficulties within Community setting. While not essential, previous experience with other high risk-high needs clients would be an advantage. You will have experience providing comprehensive assessments and risk management plans, formulating and articulating treatment needs and plans, and be able to coordinate care for tangata whaiora/consumers and their families. Have the ability to liaise with other health providers, NGOs, PHOs social and government agencies to facilitate care and treatments for service users. In addition, the role serves to support the development and function of the team and includes case consultation, staff training and supervision, leadership and involvement in service development activities such as research and evaluation-related activities. This is a permanent full time role and your Professional Development is also supported through contract provisions

Our team are dedicated and enthusiastic about delivering high quality health care to tangata whaiora family/whānau that may require access to mental health and addictions services in the community. - Ability to work in a team and within the wider Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
- Committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
- Practicing in a manner that tangata whaiora/consumers determine as being culturally safe
- Working effectively with the tangata whaiora/consumers/whanau in community environment
- Demonstrated competence in communicating with a wide range of people, leading meetings and documenting outcomes and plans
- Has a friendly manner and a positive sense of humourSkills & Experience
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Psychology and Post graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Registration with NZ Psychologist Board, with Clinical Psychology Vocational Scope of Practice
- Experience working in the Mental Health pathways and/or Forensic
- Have a current annual practising certificate
