Our Food Services team at Christchurch Hospital is looking for a Kitchen Supervisor who can run a large-scale operation and are passionate about building the capability of our kitchen hand team. Please note this is not a cook/chef role, although experience in that space is welcome.

We produce approximately 2000 patient meals every day so we - re looking for people who thrive under pressure, can keep track of multiple work streams, enjoy creating a team environment and can collaborate with colleagues to ensure our customers have a great experience.

As an experienced supervisor, you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to grow and train staff, and show a strong commitment to the health and safety of the team.

You will thrive in this fast paced, ever changing environment while working towards the main goal of improving the health and wellbeing of the people of the Canterbury region.

Essentials:

- Experience supervising large kitchen teams
- NZQA recognised Food Safety Qualification or equivalent
- Confident computer user able to quickly learn new software

Desirable:

- Previous experience in a healthcare environment
- A front-line leadership, management or supervision qualification
- NZQA Assessor certification
