With the opening of the first MEGA store in 2004 we have kept up a steady growth -and you can be part of our continuing success by joining the team at Mitre 10. Trade is a growing part of our business and we’re looking for someone with the passion to continue to ensure our store is the leading trade and home improvement destination/supplier for everyone from the home DIYer to the large construction company.

There’s nothing more annoying for Trade and DIY customers coming into our store for a certain product and finding it’s not in stock - or for the store to be carrying too much of slow moving product, but that wouldn’t happen with youyou’ve mastered the art of ensuring there is enough stock on handbut not too much.

This is a key role within our Mitre 10 Waihi store - it’s about creating a great shopping experience for our customers by ensuring optimum levels of stock are held at all times.

**This role is a full time position working Monday to Friday, with a total of 40 hours per week.**

The focus of this role is on:

- Improving business productivity by reducing costs associated with buying stock;
- Providing the best possible customer service by ensuring orders have a quick turn around and are supplied as per specification;
This role reports to the Branch Manager and requires someone with relevant purchasing experience, ideally within a retail or Trade environment.

You will also be:

- Comfortable using a computerized inventory control system;
- Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
- Be analytical and able to problem solve; and
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
