Trials Specialist

**He aha te mahi? What’s the role?**:
Zespri’s Global Extension team (ZGET) supports Zespri’s kiwifruit growers to help them cultivate the world’s best kiwifruit. This team leads the sharing of knowledge across Zespri’s global supply chains and achieves this by forming strong working relationships across Zespri, growers and key industry stakeholders. This role will be part of a NZ branch of the ZGET responsible for undertaking and reporting robust grower trials that support industry knowledge creation.

This role is primarily responsible for undertaking field trials, data collection and analysis. Key trials include;
- Continuous Productivity and Fruit Quality Improvement,
- Good Agricultural Practice,
- Supporting commercialisation of our newly released RubyRed

Key outputs include;
- Design and implementation of relevant robust grower trials
- Analysing outcomes from trials, using critical thinking to draw conclusions and preparing reports
- Communicating outcomes to the wider Zespri business and industry
- Providing technical advice in areas of expertise

**Ko wai koe? Who are you?**:

- Graduate qualification in Science, preferably with an agricultural or horticultural background
- Experience designing and implementing science trials (ideally in agriculture) required
- Field experience in agriculture (ideally horticultural) production preferred.
- Strong communication and networking skills
- NZ Drivers Licence
