Bus driver/ Shuttle driver

5 days/35 - 40 hrs per week

To drive the Porters Mitsubishi Rosa bus daily from Springfield and safely deliver Porters staff to work on the mountain on time with consideration given to road and weather conditions.

Drive the bus or Toyota Hiace van for customer shuttles, morning and afternoon as per set times and days with consideration to the road conditions and other traffic.

The bus driver role is not full time however can be by supporting other operational departments as per request or roster. These may include, lifts, carparking, café, recycling, snowplay, ticket scanning.

Training for driving alpine roads provided.

Key responsibilities:

- Perform pre and post op checks on vehicle to be operated
- Staff transport departing on time as per agreed time.
- Customer shuttles departing on time as per agreed timetable.
- Fit chains when conditions require as per mountain chain call
- Carparking
- Cleaning vehicle inside and out
- Fuel up to keep above half tank

A little about you:

- Driver licence, Class 2 with P endorsement
- A working knowledge and understanding of heavy vehicles (preferable)
- A team player and great communicator
- A cool head under pressure

**Pay Rates****:
Pay rates start from $22.70 per hour but of course this varies depending on position and experience. Hours of work and length of employment can vary with weather and snow conditions. We only employ people who can make a commitment for the entire season. During the peak season most full-time employees can expect to work 5-6 days per week and 35-40 hours.

**Accommodation****:
We can assist Team with finding accommodation in the Springfield area, though all employees are responsible for finding their own accommodation for the season unless otherwise specified by Porters Team. Transport from Springfield to and from the ski area is provided.
