**The Opportunity** **|** **Te** **kōwhiringa**

Joining our Transport and Infrastructure business, as a **Road Marking B-Type Operator, **you will support our thermoplastic road marking crew, carrying out long-life marking and reflective pavement marking (RPM) installation.

This is a full-time (guaranteed 40 hours per week), permanent opportunity, based from our Lower Queen Street, Nelson base. You will be delivering client projects in various locations across the Tasman network. Both night and day shift work is required to deliver work around peak traffic, so the ability and willingness to work on a roster is essential.

Your daily activities will include:

- Installation or remarking of Type B markings
- Physical fitness is required as manual handling is a core function in the role
- Operation of pre-melter
- Maintaining traffic control, plating and other maintenance work as assigned.
- Ensuring efficient and safe use of materials, supplies and equipment.
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and all targets (productivity, quality and safety) are met
- Working with your team to execute the current and future workload
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, crews and the general public

Experience and a keen interest in the civil construction & roading industry will provide you with a good foundation for our roadmarking environment.

You will be a team player who is motivated by achieving goals collectively. We’re seeking someone with the willingness to commit to on the job learning and training opportunities. You will also:

- Hold a Class 4 Drivers License (or be able to obtain one)
- Have strong attention to detail with the ability to plan, listen and problem solve
- Have excellent verbal and written language skills and have the confidence to put forward ideas for productivity and quality improvements
- Be able to remain calm under pressure
