About the Role

Come join our amazing team in Palmerston North.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Switching Operator role. In this role, you will assist with the planning and implementation of planned switching for the Projects/ Resources team.

Using industry knowledge to assist with the organising and pre checking of switching schedules prior to carrying out switching operations.
Performing high voltage switching and isolation of plant.
Initiate communication with site Supervisors.
Identifying and reporting any unscheduled work to enable recording of network equipment that is not safe or functional.
Ensuring that vehicles and allocated equipment are kept well-presented and maintained.
Working to achieve key performance indicators (KPI's) and Omexom operational and quality processes.
Completing all required paperwork and records within specified timeframes

About you

**To be considered, you will have**:
Experience in the HV Switching industry
Desirable to have Switching L4 Qualification
Qualified and registered Line mechanic
Switching training and experience
Heavy vehicle licence (minimum class 2)
Computer literate in MS Office, SCADA network and GIS.
Hands on Experience in all aspects of electricity distribution networks
Willing to go the extra mile and travel when required
