Special Services Cleaner/ Handyman

**OCS** is looking for a positive and detailed individual with a spring in their step to work as a** Special Services Cleaner / Handyman - Victoria University**

**FULL TRAINING** will be provided; however prior cleaning experience will be an advantage.

The work** schedule** is expected to be: Monday - Friday 8am-4.30pm

Specifications of this role:

- Has a can-do attitude, works well with others and someone who won’t let the team down.
- Has a high quality of work standards.
- Are happy to be upskilled and attend training courses.
- Excellent time management.
- Must have the ability to work alone and manage their time efficiently.
- Must be flexible to work outside of hours.
- Full New Zealand drivers’ license.
- Has experience in maneuvering trailers and securing loads.
- Carpentry and Joinery trade qualifications and experience.
- Must be physically fit.
- Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc).
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
- Good knowledge and use, both written and oral - of the English language.
- Good understanding of basic math.
- Great hand-dexterity and an eye for detail.
- Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential.
- Good physical condition and endurance.

**Requirements**:

- Have your own transport
- Be able to communicate verbal and written English
- Be able to carry out moderate to heavy labour
- Be well presented, proactive and able to work well on your own
- Be able to follow instructions
- Have an eye for detail
- Be able to pass Ministry of Justice checks and any other relevant security checks
