Operational Advisor

Operational Advisors have a unique place in NZSIS; delivering operational security advice across a broad range of operations and activities carried out by NZSIS. The role of the Operational Advisor-IT will offer independent oversight of, and confidence in, the safety and security of IT systems and architecture used to capture our key requirements.
You'll bring important operational experience across a range of business areas; helping to construct and deliver best practice security and risk management advice. Your ability to identify, research, and understand technology borne risks to the NZSIS and its operational activity will be an important part of your success.
Another important part of this role will be developing and maintaining strong relationships as you will be working closely with operational practitioners, and corporate partners, on the development and delivery of operational plans.
In addition to the above experience you will have the following attributes:

- Excellent self discipline and personal integrity
- Sound judgement
- A good awareness of security issues (including capabilities and vulnerabilities)
- High level of self motivation and innovative thinking
