Ophthalmology Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated person with a high standard of communication (written & verbal) and organisational skills to join our Ophthalmology Team at MidCentral, Palmerston North Hospital.

Ophthalmology Technicians are an important part of the Ophthalmology team as they are responsible for providing diagnostic vision testing prior a patients clinic appointment. The technician will work very closely with the Medical Photography and nursing teams on a daily basis.

The technician will also be responsible for keeping equipment clean, tidy, and regularly serviced.

This position is part time (0.8FTE) and flexibility is required to ensure all clinics are covered.
