If this appeals, we’d love to meet you. Good People is representing a fantastic organisation in the Manawatu region who are seeking a Portfolio Architect as part of an exciting visionary Digital strategy.

**The Opportunity**
This is a great career project. It’s meaty, high impact, and the results will be real, with involvement in some high-hitting projects that will be very interesting indeed.

The role is newly reframed and upgraded from the previous structure, and offers a fresh opportunity to make your mark in an innovative Digital team that places high importance on architecture
- You will be part of the Architecture & Strategy team, and will take ownership of a number of Digital products and/or services within a particular portfolio. This will typically include ownership of a critical Digital capability and its associated tech stack.
- You will engage with users/customers of the portfolio across different business areas to build a deep understanding of their operational and strategic needs, and act as a Digital advisor at senior levels to help build an understanding of the Digital capabilities that could support your business units.
- You’ll be the Digital product owner of your portfolio, maintaining awareness of its capabilities and operational status, providing expertise and support to maintain systems and incorporate improvements into the roadmap. In doing so you’ll be mentoring and supporting others in developing their expertise alongside the leadership team. You might lead a virtual product team across the Digital group and with input from vendors and partners.
- Naturally, vendor engagement, and wider industry and stakeholder engagement will be a core part of the role, creating opportunities for collaboration and keeping your domain knowledge fresh and up to date.

**About You**
- Naturally, you’ll have demonstrable experience in IT roles, including experience in either architecture, product management, or business relationship management.
- You’ll have awareness of architecture principles, and ideally broad knowledge in the areas of systems design, systems integration, and data modelling & design.
- You’ll have knowledge of architecture tools, as well as experience with Microsoft and Amazon IT environments plus Azure cloud platforms.
- You’ll want flexibility and a great work environment, and an organisation that can deliver on this.
- If you’re based outside the Manawatu, you’ll be open to periodic travel to be onsite with the team to get some good face time.
- Teamwork and values will be important to you, and you’ll want to belong to a culture that supports and encourages everyone.

**Why working with them is great**
- They have good leadership with a strong and positive future vision, with a very interesting journey ahead of them. It’s a great time to get involved
- They are open to flexibility, hybrid and remote working options. You can co-design the working practices you desire with them for this role.
- Great projects and an innovative career step - this is a new kind of role, with a chance to make your mark in a fast evolving Digital group.
- Lifestyle You don’t have to move to the Manawatu, but if you did, it’s a pretty fantastic place to live.
- The career opportunity. This project is a fantastic chance to strengthen your specialty while being part of a team you can be proud of. Not to mention there may be interesting future potential.
- Good People is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client, who is an equal opportunities employer. They value diversity, and they are committed to building an inclusive environment for all their people._
