**About the team**

The Security Services team at Transpower, is responsible for a range of services that include cybersecurity; personnel security domain management across physical offices and substations; ensuring Transpower's identities and systems are world-class, accurate, effective, and efficiently managed; providing risk and assurance services to the Information Services and Technology Division; and managing physical access and site security.

**About the role**

Our context and wider environment are unique, and this presents a great opportunity for a Site Security Manager to lead and take accountability for maintaining the effectiveness of Transpower's physical access controls and the availability/accuracy of systems/data that forms the foundation of physical security deployed within and integrated with the Transpower environment.

You'll be accountable for the operational performance of physical security services (across our five offices and 182 substations), systems and processes across Transpower. You'll also maintain fit for purpose physical access control function and data through combining technical leadership, contract management, influencing skills and hands-on administration across multiple systems and environments. A hands-on role you'll carry out information maintenance, monitoring, and assurance activities both directly and indirectly through contractors.

**What will you bring?**

You'll ideally have a qualification such as New Zealand Certificate in Security, Electronic Security and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP) or equivalent experience in physical security and access systems at the appropriate depth.

**To be considered, your CV and cover letter will demonstrate**:

- 10+ years of relevant experience within the physical access and security domain with extensive knowledge of physical access management practices and technologies
- 10+ years of experience in contract management
- Knowledge of and practical experience in developing and implementing physical security designs
- Proven experience developing comprehensive physical security roadmaps across security domains
- Detailed experience with Gallagher access and monitoring systems
- Understanding of crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) and the CPTED principles
