Grocery Buyer

New World Havelock North is looking for a Grocery Buyer to join our team and our brand-new upcoming store. You will be working alongside a strong leadership team and Owner Operator to help create a fantastic shopping experience for our customers.

We are looking for someone who can provide support and lead the team to uphold our high store standards, has a passion for good food and a range that is interesting, on trend and exceeds our customers' expectations.

This full-time role is 5 days per week, Sunday to Thursday, daytime hours but as we are a 7 day a week operation, this could require flexibility at times.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Ordering and buying
- Training team members
- Providing customer service through product knowledge
- Ensuring ticketing and pricing is accurate.
- Following all set processes to ensure best practice SAP and data integrity.
- Staff management
- Upholding compliance
- Meeting targets (weekly, monthly & annual)
- Meeting customers’ expectations
- Leading and supervising

**We are ideally looking for someone who**:

- Computer literate
- Has experience in the buying groceries OR other supermarket experience.
- Has leadership skills who can help to drive, motivate, and train team members.
- Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role.

The successful applicant will need to have a passion and drive to look for continual improvements and innovations and advance their knowledge of both buying and leading a team.
