Looking for highly professional, motivated & experienced Hosts/Hostesses to work over multiple venues in Queenstown. Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.

**Reports to**:Duty Manager/General Manager
**Position Summary**
The position of Host/Hostess is an integral role at Queenstown Hospitality. It is an important role within our team and requires you to be able to show that you understand
FOH restaurant service, customer service and are able to upsell, look after multiple groups at once, demonstrate complete knowledge of both Food & Drinks menus as well as provide exemplary customer service.
It is preferred if you are able to demonstrate a solid working knowledge of The Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and your responsibilities with regards to the sale of alcohol via licenced premises. In line with our Host Responsibility policy.
You will be expected to perform your tasks to the set standards and always interact with colleagues and guests in a professional and courteous manner, and act in good faith.
Your personal presentation and hygiene will be of a consistently high standard, and you are expected to ensure that these standards are upheld for all members of the team at all times.
You will be expected to support and assist the Duty Managers/General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operation where required.
Below is a list of duties and responsibilities, however, this is not a comprehensive list and you may be required to perform further duties and responsibilities in line with your skill set.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- As a Restaurant Host you are responsible for ensuring that our guests are greeted and seated in a timely fashion and a professional and courteous manner. always acting in good faith, and upholding the business standards.
You will be required to take food and beverage orders at the table via our tablet system, including making recommendations and upselling to our guests, ensuring that our guest experience is above expectations.
You will achieve this by having a strong and clear working knowledge of our food and beverage menu, including fully understanding any allergens in our food and beverages, and being aware of any specials that may be on offer.
You will be expected to assist the team in achieving financial targets, and part of your performance will be judged on this.
You will report any customer complaints to the Manager on Duty, efficiently and accurately.
You will assist the Food and Beverage attendants in getting food and beverage to the tables in a timely fashion.
You will be required to check in with your tables on a regular basis to ensure that the service and product that they have received is up to standard as well as taking the opportunity to sell more food and beverage items to the table.
You will assist the General Manager in maintaining and keeping effective records via our booking systems, end of shift reports, incident reports, post-mortem reports etc.
You will assist the General Manager in strategizing and implementing tactics to achieve and excel in set daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial targets. As well as driving the team to achieve said targets.
You will assist the General Manager in attracting repeat and new custom through a very high standard of service, and promotion of the restaurant brand.
You will liaise with the kitchen, whilst on shift, ensuring that all food produced for our guests only leaves the kitchen if it is up to the required standard and that any and all complaints or compliments are relayed to the kitchen and dealt with in an efficient and professional manner.
You are required to deal with all issues and complaints in a swift discreet and unbiased manner, always acting in good faith, responding in an accurate and efficient way.
You will regularly assess the quality, consistency and performance of all food and beverage produced, as well as the company standards of service and react and resolve any inconsistencies immediately.
Put forward recommendations on ways in which we can reduce waste, improve process efficiency and customer satisfaction.
**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
