**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity has become available for a practicing MIT to take up the role of clinical tutor in the radiology department at Waikato Hospital. This position will work within a small team of clinical tutors who have the day to day responsibility for the undergraduate MIT students when they are on clinical placement in the department as part of their degree. If you have a passion for teaching in the radiology field, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you. Clinical hours will be maintained as part of the position.

The Radiology Department has well established links into all specialties and sub-specialties and clinical teams across Te Whatu Ora, Waikato, including providing imaging support for a Level 1 Major Trauma Centre. We have state of the art facilities with some equipment being the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

**Mōu | About you**

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

- Degree in Medical Imaging Technology
- Registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) for relevant scope of practice
- Hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate in Medical Imaging (diagnostic)

A qualification in adult teaching and experience in Tertiary level health education, including student supervision and assessment of clinical competency, is preferred.
