Your New Role: As an Experienced Painter, you'll play a crucial role in our team. Your expertise will enhance the aesthetics of residential and commercial properties in Auckland.

- Assist working on site with day-to-day operations like setting up the power tools, unload material from vans etc.
- Drop and pick material from storage or other sites in company vehicles.
- Assist in lifting prenail frames, trusses, Masonry blocks, bricks etc.
- Erect and dismantle mobile scaffolding as required.
- Assist with erecting/dismantling temporary metal fence/reflective orange safety fence/ silt fence etc.
- Clean sites on regular basis, de-nail timber, stack up and cover.
- Assist carpenters with demolition work using company tools and machinery.
- (Full training will be provided on power tools).
- Able to measure timber and cut using a drop saw and circular saw. (Full training will be provided on power tools).
- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
- Hand-dig holes or trenches where digger is unable to reach.
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture
- Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
- Hand-mix concrete pour using a wheelbarrow and float for small patch up jobs.
- Must use Personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any potential hazard identified on site to the immediate supervisor.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, which includes cleaning, scraping, sanding, or other means of ensuring a ready-to-paint surface.
- Mix, match, and blend paint to achieve desired colours and shades.
- Follow all safety protocols related to handling paints and solvents, including proper ventilation and the use of protective gear.
- Coordinate with clients and other team members to meet project specifications and timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning up after jobs and properly disposing of hazardous waste.
- Perform minor repairs such as filling holes, replacing wood, and fixing cracks, to ensure a smooth surface.
