About the role
This is a permanent Solicitor role in our Corporate and Commercial Legal Team, based in Wellington where you'll get to work on a wide range of matters, including:

- Contracts review, drafting and negotiation
- Complex projects (including Technology, Property and Construction)
- ICT and Intellectual Property related issues
- Procurement processes and all-of-government initiatives
- HR, Health & Safety, Privacy, and Information Management
- Providing legal assurance to Chief Executive, ELT and Chief Legal Advisor.

About the Team
You'll be working in a collegial environment with supportive and experienced colleagues, where knowledge is freely shared and there's a commitment to peer review and constructive feedback and ongoing development opportunities and training you need to help take your legal career forward.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

- Interest in and, ideally, some post-admission experience, working on commercial and corporate law matters
- Passion, proactivity and the ability to build strong working relationships with the team and stakeholders
- Familiarity with Tiriti and knowledge of te reo, tikanga and te ao Māori, or a demonstrable commitment to development in these areas.
