- A family is looking for a ‘Forever Nanny'. This role will start out with 15 hours per week as you create a secure attachment with B1 and bond with their family.
- Once you are all comfortable, you will take sole charge of their son on your rostered days. In a couple of years time, mum and dad are looking to grow their family. Once this happens, they would like to increase your hours to ensure their son’s needs are met while adjusting to life with a new baby. When ready, they would like you to take on sole charge of both children until they are in school.
- As this is many years ahead, they are looking for someone to become an integral part of the family and to grow with them. they will continue to communicate and work as a team as these changes occur to ensure they are suitable for you and their family.
- Duties you can expect to begin with include (but are not limited to):
- Activities, cooking/baking together, messy/sensory play, outings, playcentre/playgroups, walks, playground trips.
- Meeting developmental needs in an age appropriate way, such as learning, fostering independence, practicing skills, etc.
- Feeding snacks and meals, and cleaning up afterwards.
- Cleaning up after yourself and B1. You aren’t expected to be the housekeeper, but you will need to keep the house as you found it when you arrived.
- Putting our son down for naps (settling and resettling may be needed).
- Care routine, nappy changes and toilet training support when that time comes.
- Forming a secure attachment with B1 and ensuring you are providing him with nurturing, respectful, responsive and supportive care at all times, while upholding boundaries in a kind but firm way that is age appropriate.
- Transparent communication with the parents.
- Sending the parents regular photos and updates.
You must also have:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional Nannying experience.
