General Labourer

Accessnet Limited is seeking a trustworthy and diligent worker to join our team as General Labourers. We are working in a Telecommunication service and a Chorus contractor. Successful applicants will be in charge of assisting in hauling, hand digging and a variety of manual tasks, including loading, and unloading materials, tools, and equipment, preparing worksites, and operating basic hand and power tools.

Your role:

- Operating basic hand and power tools
- Able to perform hand digging, and hauling cables (with the help of a hauling machine) and required heavy lifting.
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Driving company van or truck
- Preparing worksites by cleaning up and setting up equipment
- Assisting our skilled telecommunications technicians with their tasks
- Maintaining a clean and safe worksite

About you:

- Have good communication skills and can be a team player.
- Initiative-taking and can work in a fast-paced physically demanding work environment.
- Physically fit and can lift heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license, own transportation is a plus.
- First Aid and Sitesafe valid certifications are required but not necessary.
- Required a negative alcohol and drug test result and no criminal record.

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional overtime, night work and weekend work as required.

**Salary**: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

- Waitakere, Auckland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 Driver Licence (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
